In Gent, we decided to meet in the Mitte in Basel to do an art performance and to have a meeting about art and culture in Connectivity 2011. Bringing this two things – doing art and thinking and talking about art- together, is part of our vision about the art and culture in Connectivity. We want this to be integrated, as we think doing art should be already in the process, and not only in the ‘product’, the conference. In this way, the meeting each other through art, the exchange that can come with this, can already start now…
These are the minutes of the meeting we had in the Mitte:

Concrete ideas for Connectivity 2011:
- 1 piece of art/ collective artwork:
– everyone can join in painting/sculpturing
- 1 ongoing story: everyone adds one sentence
someone starts 1 piece of art, i.e. a poem and gives it to someone else who maybe draws something to it or finds a song (…) and passes it on while the event is happening

- how we want to work:
- important is that organizing, thinking, planning and doing, being creative should be balanced
- where is the centre of information? à sharing google agenda
- how to collect information? à sharing documents at gmail (art.connectivity@gmail.com) à blog? connectivity website?
